This movie needs no introduction.
You’ve heard of it. Watched it the first time in theatres and loved it so much and pushed it to the top tier of your ever-moving and evolving movie list.
Or you hated it for the complexity of time dilation and all the geeky science in it. This is also a first for the groundbreaking research effort behind the scenes - thanks to Nolan for sticking to reality, or at least he tries to wherever he can.
The soundtrack by Hans Zimmer is another huge impact that leaves you in awe of the movie and stays with you for the upcoming years to come. No pun intended!
I watched this gem of a movie back in 2014 on a smaller digital IMAX screen (also known as lieMAX) Even with that experience after stepping out of the theatre I couldn’t get myself to watch it on a TV or laptop and was losing hope until I saw the re-release of the 10th-anniversary announcement recently.
However, due to high demand and my unfortunate timing, I still couldn’t make it to the 70mm IMAX screenings in the USA but was able to watch the movie on a standard laser 4K IMAX projection.
Standing in the queue for about two hours to secure the perfect viewing seat for a 10-year-old movie, while the crowd patiently waited, was an entirely unique experience.
There are a lot of young kids at the screening and seems like it was their first time watching the movie. Lucky them!
Probably the next time I'm going to watch this will be for the 20th anniversary. Until then this just lives in my memories.
